Fortea Treatment for Bone Loss Due to Prednisone

Hello .......  Has anyone used, or knows of anyone that has used, the daily self-injectable medication called Forteo to "build-up/restore" bone density loss due to Prednisone usage and if so what was the results? I've had five vertebral compression fractures repaired/cemented via Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty in the past month and my Rheumatologist and Endocrinolologist are suggesting that I would be a great candidate to try Forteo and should get some positive results from this treatment.... but of course there could be some pretty serious side effects. My insurance has already approved paying their portion of the ~$800 per month prescription so it is up to me to make the final decision if I want to try this treatment.

Anyone had any experience with or knows of anyone that has had any experience with Fortea.  I am scheduled to start the treatment on 04/05/2010. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
